Spring Break Stand Up Paddleboard Camps!

Are your kids going to make the most of spring break? With our camps, they will!

If you have to work while the kids are off for spring break, then send them to SURFit Spring Break camp. Last year, was our first year offering this all day camp and it was a huge success.  The days were spent learning to stand up paddleboard, swimming, playing beach volleyball, and playing active games on the beach.  Not to mention, everyday there was some element of marine biology and ocean safety taught in a fun and age appropriate way.

We know kids love our half day summer camps, but the all day camps seemed to be extra special. There was time for extra instruction, longer paddles, and just time to chill out and relax together.

This year we have added some special activities to the mix including:  kayaking, Survivor Type obstacle courses (fun and age appropriate!), beach volleyball tournament, beach soccer games, and of course stand up paddleboarding!  We will be having focused marine biology lessons every day–talking about local birds,  sharks and rays, and fun activities including a beach scavenger hunt and fish printing art project.

The spring break camp is held at Turtle Beach and meets outside by the playground in the morning.  In the afternoon, we retreat to the classroom for lunch and some time to relax.  We watch a movie or an educational show and then head back out for more fun.

Camps run from 9:00 am-4:30 pm but you can drop your children off as early as 8:30 am.  We are open to kids from ages 5-14.  The cost is $265 per child for the whole week and includes all equipment.   All of our instructors are skilled watermen and water women and we keep our coach/child at 1:6.  When we are on the water, the ratio is much less, usually 1:3.  Don’t worry! We want your kids to be safe and have a great time.

Each child should bring sunscreen, a water bottle, and lunch.
