SEPTEMBER WRAP-UP: What a Month on the Water! ๐ŸŒŠ

Four people kayaking in shallow, clear water surrounded by lush greenery.
September has been absolutely incredible on Sarasota’s waters! Here’s what’s been making our hearts (and our guests’ hearts) race this month:

๐ŸŒ€ FROM STORM TO PARADISE

This time last year, Midnight Pass was closed. Then two back-to-back hurricanes changed everything – opening up this incredible waterway and transforming our ecosystem! The newly opened pass has brought stunning water quality and an explosion of marine life. Sometimes nature knows exactly what she’s doing!
This month we’ve been blessed to explore these waters with:
โ€ข Snook cruising the shallows
โ€ข Red drum patrolling the flats
โ€ข Barracuda cutting through the channels
โ€ข Mangrove snapper darting around the roots
โ€ข SO many manatees and dolphins (seriously, they’re everywhere!)
Today’s highlight? A playful dolphin tossing a fish around right in the canal – nature’s entertainment at its finest! ๐Ÿฌ

๐ŸŒ… GRATEFUL FOR PERFECT CONDITIONS

We’re so thankful this year to be out on the water with NO hurricanes, NO red tide, and absolutely perfect weather! It’s been a dream season.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

We had the pleasure of taking out the Venice Newcomers group this month – what an amazing bunch! We absolutely LOVE hosting groups, so if you’re part of a club, organization, or just want to get friends together, reach out! We’ll create the perfect adventure for your crew.

๐Ÿ‚ OCTOBER OUTLOOK

And guess what? October is going to be just as spectacular! Perfect paddling weather continues with: โœ“ Warm, crystal-clear water โœ“ Comfortable air temps โœ“ Even fewer crowds = more wildlife encounters โœ“ Ideal conditions for everyone

โš ๏ธ SAFETY SPOTLIGHT: LEASH UP!

Quick reminder for our paddleboard friends – ALWAYS wear your leash! It’s your lifeline if you fall off, especially in moving water or when wildlife gets you excited (we’ve all been there!). Your board becomes a floating safety device, but only if it stays connected to you.
Ready to experience the magic yourself? Book your adventure and see what all the excitement is about!
Sarasota Mangrove and Hidden Beach Kayak Tour
  • Most Popular!
From $55

Turtle Beach is a great place to paddle! We start on the intercostal and paddle down a short canal to the Bay. We paddle around the mangrove islands of Jim Neville Marine Preserve and then through a few mangrove tunnels to a “secret” beach.ย  This beach is only accessible by boat so we may have it to ourselves.ย  Such a beautiful place for a quick swim or just stopping for a few moments to relax.

From our launch, you can paddle down the intercoastal, around acres of mangrove islands.ย  Take the kayaks and ashore at Midnight Pass and spend time exploring the beach.ย  This is a great place to look for shells, take a dip in the ocean or just relax.ย  With our rentals, you have plenty of time.
