We will meet at Ted Sperling Park and your equipment will be ready and waiting for you to begin your adventure. We provide a quick overview of the area and needed safety equipment before you set off to explore on your own. In our experience, two and a half hours is plenty of time to explore the area, find wildlife and just enjoy the beauty.
This location is the closest launch point to the famous mangrove tunnels and the entire area is beautiful and filled with wildlife like manatees, dolphins, rays, fish and birds.
Pets are not allowed on the equipment at this location. We do allow service animals.
What can we expect to see at this location?
This is an easy paddle with numerous mangrove tunnels to explore. When paddling in the open area, manatees and dolphins are often seen feeding and relaxing in the grass flats.
Will we get lost in the mangroves?
We will provide a map and our guides will give you a quick review of the best places to go. If you feel more comfortable with a tour guide, we suggest you booking our Mangrove Tunnel guided tour.
What should we bring with us?
Please make sure you have water and sun protection. We will provide a small dry bag for your phone and keys, if you would like to take them out with you.
Is there a beach to stop at?
There is a small sand bar to stop at to stretch your legs. If you are looking for a really nice beach to spend time at, we recommend renting kayaks at our location on Siesta Key.
Are reservations required?
Yes, please make reservations ahead of time.
Can we rent for longer than two hours?
Yes, if you want to explore for longer or have a fishing day, call us to find out about longer rental period.
