If you are unsure of where to paddle, these are some of our favorite places:

Lido Beach:  This is a beautiful place to paddle when the water is calm and the winds are light.  Be sure to stay out of the swim zone when launching.  Our guides will explain the basics of paddling and will guide you on where to launch.  This can also be a fun place to paddle when the surf is up.  Ask us about our surf SUP’s.

Bird Key:  One of Sarasota’s most picturesque places.  Launch from Bird Key to paddle around City Island, Bird Keys, all around Sarasota Bay.  This is a great launch place if you plan to paddle with a dog.

Lido Mangrove Tunnels:  This is the most popular tourist attraction in Sarasota and should not be missed.  We offer tours at the mangrove tunnels but if you want to explore on you own—rent a board or a kayak.  Our guides will explain the basics, safety equipment and send you out with a map.

Turtle Beach:  There are so many options if you paddle from Turtle Beach on Siesta Key.  Our guides will explain the basics of paddling, safety equipment and then give you some ideas on where to paddle.  You can explore the intercoastal and the many mangrove islands or you can spend your time in the waters of the Gulf–paddling all the way to Siesta Key Beach.  If there is surf, this is a great place to try surfing. Ask about our Surf SUPs!

City Island:  Located on the opposite side of Sarasota Bay from Bird Key, City Island is a great place to start a paddle along the intercoastal side of Longboat Key.  Or, paddle the three mile course around the inside of the bay, usually seeing manatees and dolphins.  After your paddle, stop at the famous Salty Dog Restaurant for a refreshing drink and some good food. Our guides will explain the basics of paddling, safety equipment and then give you some ideas on where to paddle.

Siesta Key Beach:  There is no paddleboarding allowed in the swim zone on the beach however you are allowed to paddle from Siesta Key, if you stay out of the swim zone.  Rent a board from us and our guides will deliver the board, explain the safety equipment and the basics of how to paddle, and will make sure you know where it is safe to paddle.

Longboat Key:  Another great place to paddle!  We love to go along the coast starting at one empty beach and paddling to another.  Sometimes it can feel as if you have the whole area to yourself.
