Stand-up paddle-boarding is so much more than a “vacation” activity. Studies have shown that the average person can burn between 500-1000 calories within a 1 hour of stand up paddleboarding. You can get an amazing workout without even realizing it–surrounded by the natural beauty of the ocean, your workout will be fun. SURFIT is a firm believer that you don’t need a gym to stay healthy and fit. SURFIT tones your core all the while working out all other muscle groups and giving a good cardio workout. SURFIT classes are tailored to various fitness levels including the beginner, the performance paddler, classes specifically for women and older athletes. If you are more interested in a private lessons before you get started, we offer those as well.

SURFIT Boot Beach Boot Camp classes are completely land based. During these classes, we will work on cardio and strength using body weight exercise and some equipment (e.g. ropes, kettlebells, medicine balls). These classes are intense but worth it. Beach Boot Camps are offered four times per week.
If you have experience on the water and want an intense workout—this class is for you. After an hour long class, you should be beat. This class focuses on drills, sprints, and if we are lucky, surfing!
This class was designed with women in mind–offering both dry land and on the water elements. We will warm up with some stregth and conditioning work and then head to the water for a paddle workout. Women will enjoy getting out on the water with friends and the feeling after a great workout!
Just like it sounds–we do yoga on the stand up paddleboards to offer a bit more challenge to your yoga practice. Really work on your balance with a slightly unstable surface.
SURFIT SUP Pilates
Pilates is a great core workout in itself but combine pilates with SUP and you have an extreme core conditioning workout. The SURFIT SUP Pilates class combines elements of both yoga and pilates and can be easily modified for all levels of athlete.
This class was designed for older athletes (age 50 plus) who want to get fit and have a great time. Grab your friends for a workout to remember. This is a great weekly ( or twice weekly) addition to your regular workouts.
Want to build your waterman/woman skills in an private setting? Our coaches will meet with you, at a mutually agreed upon time and place, and will tailor a class to your unique needs. If you are just learning, want to be out there in the surf or want to tackle the long distance—this is the way to do it. Prices: $50 per hour for 1 person, add $15 per person per hour.
Racing and surfing stand up paddle boards is growing in popularity. We have developed a few training programs to get you ready for specific races or contests.
